Ramya Nambeesan is a Malayalam actress. Ramya was born on January 1, 1985.Ramya Nambeesan has acted in Malayalam movie 'Kathapurushan' in 1996 as a child artist.

She made her debut through the Malayalam movie 'Sayahnam' in 2000. She got her first leading role in the movie Aanachandham with Jayaram.

Ramya faced the camera for the first time while she was still in high school for director Sharath's `Saayanam' where she played granddaughter to O. Madhavan's character.

While speaking to the media she said,” Though I was introduced in Malayalam films, my target is to get a permanent place in Tamil film industry. I hope that the films Aatanayagan and Muriyadi will give me a good beginning.

Above all I am proud because I am acting in Ilaignyan because it has the story, screenplay and dialogues by Kalaignar Karunanidhi.

It is added strength for me because this film is directed by Suresh Krishna who had directed many super stars. My dream role is that I want to do classical dancer role which I have been learning for many years.’
